Apple Seeds First Beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.1

Apple today released the first developer beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.1. The release comes just a few days after macOS Catalina itself was released to the public.

This point release is likely going to be a bug-fixing one. If you are on the macOS beta program, you can grab the latest developer beta from System Preferences -> Software Update.

This beta build could also hint at some of the new Macs that Apple is working on and which the company will presumably announce at a media event in October. Also Read:Download video from JW Player-Tested 4 Methods

While the public release of macOS Catalina is relatively stable, it does have a few lingering bugs that Apple will likely address with this point release. If the response to this bug-fixing developer beta release is positive, we will likely see Apple release it to the public later this month.

macOS Catalina is all about improvements to some core system apps and underlying changes. It does not come with any major breakthrough features that will change your workflow. However, some improvements are bound to help improve the overall quality of apps for the OS, while others will particularly benefit artists and creators. Read about some of the major new features in macOS Catalina here.

Tim Cook Explains Why Apple Removed the Controversial Hong Kong Protest App

Apple has received quite a bit of flak on social media for giving in to the demand of the Chinese government and removing the HKmap.live app from the App Store. The app was being used by protestors in Hong Kong to keep track of police presence and locations where protests were taking place. Now, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has sent an internal memo to employees clarifying as to why the app was removed from the App Store.

Cook says in the memo that the app was being used “maliciously to target individual officers for violence and to victimize individuals and property where no police are present.” He says that the company received credible information after which it took the decision of removing the app from the App Store. However, he has not provided any details whatsoever about the information that Apple had received.

Below is Tim Cook’s memo in full:

Team,

You have likely seen the news that we made the decision to remove an app from the App Store entitled HKmap.live. These decisions are never easy, and it is harder still to discuss these topics during moments of furious public debate. It’s out of my great respect for the work you do every day that I want to share the way we went about making this decision.

It is no secret that technology can be used for good or for ill. This case is no different. The app in question allowed for the crowdsourced reporting and mapping of police checkpoints, protest hotspots, and other information. On its own, this information is benign. However, over the past several days we received credible information, from the Hong Kong Cybersecurity and Technology Crime Bureau, as well as from users in Hong Kong, that the app was being used maliciously to target individual officers for violence and to victimize individuals and property where no police are present. This use put the app in violation of Hong Kong law. Similarly, widespread abuse clearly violates our App Store guidelines barring personal harm.

We built the App Store to be a safe and trusted place for every user. It’s a responsibility that we take very seriously, and it’s one that we aim to preserve. National and international debates will outlive us all, and, while important, they do not govern the facts. In this case, we thoroughly reviewed them, and we believe this decision best protects our users.

Tim

Given the lack of details, I find it a bit too difficult to believe Tim’s words here. Apple has in the past removed thousands of apps from the App Store to meet local regulations and please the Chinese government. So, it won’t be surprising if the company is doing something similar here as well.Tips:

How to Take Full Page Screenshots of Websites in Safari on iPhone

Safari gets many new big features in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13. A new download manager, desktop-class browsing features for iPad and many more. But one thing that doesn’t get talked about nearly as much as a tweak in the screenshot markup view for Safari. You can now take full-page, scrolling screenshots of websites on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13. Here’s how it works.

This is more of an iOS screenshot markup feature than a Safari feature. It just only works in Safari right now. We hope that in the future, Apple enables this in iMessages and any messaging app like WhatsApp as well. Android phones have had this feature for a long time now.
How to Take Scrolling Full Page Screenshots in Safari on iPhone

Step 1: Open the website that you want to take a screenshot of on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2: Take a screenshot using the Volume Up + Side Button combination, or the screenshot combination that works for your device.

Step 3: You’ll now see a little preview in the bottom-left corner. Tap on it.

Step 4: This will take you to the familiar screenshot annotation and markup view. You’ll notice that there’s a new tab at the top. Here, tap on Full Page.

Step 5: Instantly, you’ll see that the whole web page preview is available on the screen. You can use the scroll bar on the right to scroll through the whole page. You can also choose any tool to annotate the screenshot.

Step 6: Now you can tap on the Done button. Here, choose Save To Files and then pick a folder on your iPhone/iPad or on iCloud Drive. You can also tap on the Share button to send the screenshot as a Mail attachment.

Step 7: Once you confirm the destination, iOS will save the screenshot as a PDF. You can open the Files app, find the PDF and then share it with any app you want.

iPhone Music Keeps Pausing? Top 11 Ways Here

Part 1. Back up Your iPhone First

One of the major aspects you should consider before opting to repair your iPhone is to create a backup of your device. In fact, creating a backup is exceptionally important aspect no matter what sort of repair you intend to carry out.

Such approach helps reducing the risk of losing your iPhone data. When it comes to creating backups, there are two main options before you. You can use the official way or a professional tool (both of which are explained below).

The official ways of creating backups are iCloud and iTunes. Both of these options are offered by Apple and you don’t need to download any third-party tool therefore. However, both of these options allow you to create full backups only. That means, they don’t offer you the opportunity of creating selective backups. Also, they can affect the existing data on your device.

If you wish to create selective backups (create backups of the files which you like but not all the files), you can use a professional tool like iMyFone D-Back. The specialty of this tool is that it doesn’t affect the existing data (they don’t replace existing files). Also, such tool allows you to save data locally without any hassle.
Part 2. 11 Ways to Solve iPhone Music Keeps Pausing

Now you know the importance of creating a backup and the ways of creating those backups, let’s learn how to solve “iPhone music keeps stopping” issue for the good.
Way 1. Restart Your iPhone

One of the most basic fixes you can use to address this issue is restarting the device. Although this fix sounds absolutely simple, it works for most of the users. Please note that the steps vary depending on the model of the device you use.

For iPhone 8 and iPhone 7

Step 1: As the first step, you should press and hold the Side button so you will see the slider.

Step 2: Drag the slider so you can turn off the iPhone.

Step 3: After about 30 seconds, press the Side button once again so the Apple logo will appear.

For iPhone X

Step 1: Press the side button and any of the volume buttons simultaneously and hold them to see the slider of the iPhone.

Step 2: To turn off the iPhone, you should drag this slider.

Step 3: Wait for about 30 seconds and long-press the side button once again to see the Apple logo.

In most of the cases, this should fix the issue for you.
Way 2. Uninstall & Reinstall the Music App

Sometimes, the issue might be associated with the Music App. In that case, uninstalling and reinstalling the app might work.

Step 1: Locate any of the icon on the home screen and long press on it so all the icons will start to jiggle. There will be a small “X” icon on the upper-left corner of the apps. Tap on this icon located on the Music App.

Step 2: Now, there will be a confirmation box with Delete button. Tap on it to confirm your action.

Step 3: Install the same app from the App Store. (it is much better if you can restart the device after deleting the app).

Way 3. Remove and Re-download Songs

If you don’t fix it yet, you may have to try removing and downloading the songs once again. Listed below are the steps to follow in this case.

Step 1: Go to Settings app and select General.

Step 2: Tap on Storage & iCloud Usage.

Step 3: Tap on the option called Manage Storage so you will see a list of the iPhone apps. You can now locate the Apple Music app as well.

Step 4: Select the option called Music and click on Edit. Then, if you need to delete all the songs, you should select “All Songs”.

Step 5: Tap on the Delete button to finish the process.

Way 4. Update iOS Version to Latest

In many cases, the issue might be related to iOS. In this case, you should update it to the latest to fix the issue. Following are the steps to follow in order to update the iOS version.

Step 1: Go to Settings and locate the option called General.

Step 2: Then, select Software Update.

Step 3: Now, tap on the option called Download and Install.

Step 4: Tap on Install to update the iOS now. If prompted, provide the passcode of the device.

Please note that your device must be connected to a Wi-Fi network and have enough power (at least 60%) before performing this update.

Way 5. Turn off Siri

Turning off Siri is another way you can try to fix this issue. That is because, each time when the Siri is woken up, it can affect the music play.

Step 1: Open Settings app and go to General.

Step 2: Tap on the option labeled Siri and switch off the button next to it.

Step 3: Confirm your action simply by tapping on “Turn Off Siri” option.

Way 6. Reset Network Settings

Sometimes, the issue might be fixed after resetting the network settings.

Step 1: Go to Settings app and select General.

Step 2: Go to Reset and tap on the option labeled Reset Network Settings.

Step 3: Provide the passcode if asked.

Step 4: Confirm your action by tapping on “Reset Network Settings” once again.

Way 7. Disable Raise to Wake

Another helpful way to fix this issue is disabling the option called Raise to Wake.

Step 1: Open Settings app and select Display & Brightness.

Step 2: Turn off the feature by toggling the button.

Way 8. Re-sync music from iTunes

This is another way to resolve potential issues associated with music. You can use iTunes to re-sync all the songs back to your device so the issue has occurred due to damaged files and it will be resolved after re-syncing the songs.
Way 9. Change to Other Headphones

For some users, the issue might be a hardware related one. For instance, due to faulty headphones. So, just try a different set of headphones to see if the problem is solved.
Way 10. Fix iPhone Music Keeps Pausing without Data Loss

If you are looking for a method that fixes this issue without causing any data loss, you should try a professional tool like iMyFone Fixppo. It is a powerful software that can address plenty of issues related to iOS devices.Sponsor ads:

Apps Are Using Background App Refresh to Send Data to Tracking Companies

Apps Are Using Background App Refresh to Send Data to Tracking Companies

When Background App Refresh is enabled, some iOS apps are using the feature to regularly send data to tracking companies, according to a privacy experiment from The Washington Post that explores the relationship between apps and tracking companies.

The Washington Post's Geoffrey Fowler teamed up with privacy firm Disconnect and used specialized software to see what his iPhone was doing and when. And while it's no surprise that apps are using trackers and sharing user data, the frequency with which apps took advantage of background refresh to send data off to tracking companies is surprising, as is some of the data shared.

Fowler found that apps were sending data like phone number, email, location, IP address, and more.

On a recent Monday night, a dozen marketing companies, research firms and other personal data guzzlers got reports from my iPhone. At 11:43 p.m., a company called Amplitude learned my phone number, email and exact location. At 3:58 a.m., another called Appboy got a digital fingerprint of my phone. At 6:25 a.m., a tracker called Demdex received a way to identify my phone and sent back a list of other trackers to pair up with.

Apps that were found passing data along included Microsoft OneDrive, Mint, Nike, Spotify, The Weather Channel, DoorDash, Yelp, Citizen, and even The Washington Post's own iOS app. Citizen shared personally identifiable information that violated its privacy policy (the tracker was later removed), and Yelp was sending data every five minutes, something the company later said was a bug.

During the course of a week of testing, Fowler ran into 5,400 trackers, mostly found within apps, which Disconnect told him would likely send 1.5 gigabytes of data over the course of a month.

Trackers within apps, for those unfamiliar, serve different purposes. Some analyze user behavior to let apps streamline advertising campaigns, combat fraud, or create targeted ads. Delivery app DoorDash, for example, was found using a whopping nine trackers in its apps, sharing data like device name, ad identifier, accelerometer data, delivery address, name, email, and cellular phone carrier.

DoorDash also has trackers from Facebook and Google Ad Services, which means Facebook and DoorDash are notified whenever you're using the DoorDash service. DoorDash is not alone in sending tracking data, nor are the apps listed above - using tracking information is standard practice - but most people aren't aware that it's happening.

Not all data collection is bad, such as when it's anonymized and stored for a limited period of time, but some trackers are collecting specific user information and don't provide clear information on how long that data is stored nor who it's shared with.

As Fowler points out, there is no way to know which apps are using trackers and when that data is being sent from your iPhone, nor does Apple have tools in place that give iPhone users a way to see which apps are using trackers and for what purpose. Apple was contacted for comment, but provided a standardized privacy response.

"At Apple we do a great deal to help users keep their data private," the company says in a statement. "Apple hardware and software are designed to provide advanced security and privacy at every level of the system."

"For the data and services that apps create on their own, our App Store Guidelines require developers to have clearly posted privacy policies and to ask users for permission to collect data before doing so. When we learn that apps have not followed our Guidelines in these areas, we either make apps change their practice or keep those apps from being on the store," Apple says.

Fowler suggests Apple could require apps to label when they're using third-party trackers, while privacy company Disconnect suggests greater privacy controls in iOS to give users more control over their data.

iOS users concerned about the data apps are sending, especially at night and without user knowledge, can turn off Background App Refresh in the Settings app and can use a VPN like Disconnect's Privacy Pro to limit the data apps are able to send to third-party sources.

Apple Announces NFC Tag Support for Apple Pay and More

Despite the fact it isn’t quite the start of this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has something to announce. And it just so happens to be one of the most oft-requested features for Apple Pay, and brings the company one step closer to offering a completely full-service digital wallet.

Today, during the TRANSACT Conference taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, Apple’s Vice President of Apple Pay, Jennifer Bailey, announced a new feature for Apple Pay. Starting later this year, Apple Pay will support special NFC tags that can launch an Apple Pay purchase when tapped. This means that you’ll just need to tap the NFC tag, confirm the purchase through Apple Pay (through Face ID or Touch ID), and be on your way. No need to launch a separate app. It will all be handled with Apple Pay and the Wallet app.

To start, Apple confirmed two partners: PaybyPhone parking meters and Bird scooters.

This will make quick, on-the-go purchases a lot easier and faster. Just look at Bird for an example. Now, instead of having to load up a separate app, or deal with a hunky piece of tech for the point-of-sale, you can simply tap your iPhone or Apple Watch against a small NFC-equipped tag. This can top up your time with the Bird scooter, or with the parking meters, get you some more time to keep your car where it is.

That’s not all, though. The company also announced users will be able to sign up for a loyalty card within the Wallet app. All with a single tap. The company did not go into great detail with this future feature, though.

There is no specific date for when these features will launch. However, it is expected to arrive sometime “later this year”. It’s likely that we will hear more about this at WWDC next month, too.

Electra Releases Chimera Jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 with Sileo, Supports iPhones XS, iPhone XR

The Electra team today released Chimera, the first true iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 jailbreak for all iPhones and iPads. Unlike Unc0ver, Chimera features CoreTrust bypass which makes it safer and faster than the former. The jailbreak has been written from the ground up for better stability and no battery drain. It also comes with Sileo, a new modern package manager which makes installing and managing packages easier.

Most importantly perhaps and unlike Unc0ver 3.0 jailbreak, Chimera has support for all iPhones and iPads. This includes A12-A12X Bionic devices like the iPhone XS and iPhone XR as well. Apart from iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 support, there’s also ChimeraTV which allows one to jailbreak their Apple TV running tvOS 12 – tvOS 12.1.2.

Similar to Unc0ver, Chimera is a semi-tethered jailbreak. This means if you reboot your device, you will have to jailbreak it again. Before using Chimera to jailbreak your iPhone, make sure to delete any OTA file on your device otherwise it would end up entering a boot loop.

From all the wording, it looks like Chimera is more stable than Unc0ver 3.0 and it has a better UI than it. You can download Chimera’s IPA file from its website and then sideload it on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 using Impactor. After that, you can use the app to jailbreak your iPhone.

If you have already jailbroken your iPhone using Unc0ver, you can still use Chimera to overwrite that jailbreak.

With there being no clear word on when Saurik will update Cydia Substitute for A12-A12X Bionic devices. The Unc0ver team is working on Substitute as a replacement but there’s no ETA as to when it would be released.

How to Clear Your Apple News Reading History

Apple News keeps track of all the articles you read within the news app's interface to create a personal reading history. This provides you with a handy way of returning to a story, and avoids you having to trawl through the news to look for it.

To access your reading history in the Apple News app on iPhone or iPad, simply tap the Followingtab, scroll down, and then tap History. In Apple News on Mac, you can find the same option by scrolling to the bottom of the sidebar.

Like the browsing history in a web browser app, you can clear your Apple News reading history. Here's how it's done.

How to Clear Apple News Reading History on iOS

Launch the Apple News app on your iPhone or iPad.

Tap the Following tab in the lower right corner of the screen.

Scroll down and tap History.

To remove an individual story from your reading history, swipe left across it and then tap Delete.

To clear your entire reading history, tap Clear in the upper right corner of the screen and then tap Clear History.

How to Clear Apple News Reading History on Mac

You can perform a similar action on your Mac by following the steps below.

Chuwiには、カスタマイズされたラップトップ、タブレットPC、妥協のない品質、安定性、サポート、パフォーマンスを備えたミニノート pcエクスペリエンスの世界有数のテクノロジーパートナーになることをミッションがあります。

Launch the Apple News app.

Scroll down to the bottom of the sidebar and click History.

Click Clear in the upper right corner of the window.

Click Clear History.

It's an odd quirk, but currently there's no way to remove individual stories from your reading history in the Apple News Mac app. Apple has a number of inconsistencies across its stock Mac and iOS apps that need addressing, and this is one of them.

Dutch Body ACM to Investigate Apple for Anticompetitive App Store Behavior

Dutch Body ACM to Investigate Apple for Anticompetitive App Store Behavior
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets will investigate Apple to see whether it has used its dominant position in the App Store to promote its own apps ahead of others. The move comes after the authority received a number of complaints against Apple for its anticompetitive behavior in the App Store.

The ACM is also encouraging app developers to come ahead and report their experience on the App Store as well as Google Play. Such information will help the body in its investigation against Apple and eventually Google. The initial investigation will focus on Dutch news media apps available on the App Store.

ACM will investigate, among other aspects, whether Apple acted in violation of the prohibition of abuse of dominance, for example, by giving preferential treatment to its own apps. At first, the investigation will focus on Apple because, at the moment, the most detailed reports have been received about Apple’s App Store. ACM believes that these reports may indicate conduct that is at odds with competition law.

Dutch developers have also complained about relying on Apple and Google’s in-app payment system in which they end up paying as much as 30% of their revenue as commission to them. Plus, they have also complained about poor communication from both Apple and Google in regards to app updates, app submissions, and other App Store related issues.

ACM makes it clear that just because it will be investigating Apple’s behavior, it does not make the company guilty of any wrongdoing leading to this move.
Our Take

Apple does not really offer its own set of apps through the App Store. Instead, they are bundled as a part of iOS itself. It is also unclear as to why Dutch “media news” app developers have complained about Apple’s behavior on the App Store especially since Apple News itself is only available in the Netherlands.

Apple has come under fire from the likes of Netflix and Spotify for using its dominant position in the App Store to its advantage. While arguments from Spotify do make sense to a certain degree, it is unclear how Dutch developers believe Apple has used its position in the App Store for its own benefit.

Apple Adds Ex-Google AI Expert, Ian Goodfellow, to Its Special Projects Group

Big companies make strategic hires all the time, and sometimes that means adding new hires from competing brands. In this case, Apple is adding one Ian Goodfellow, formerly one of Google’s leading artificial intelligence engineers, to its roster.

CNBC has the report on Thursday. Apple has hired Goodfellow to be parts of its “Special Projects Group”, where he will be leading the team as the director of machine learning. Goodfellow is known as the “father of general adversarial networks, or GANs”, which is explained as such:

“Goodfellow is the father of an AI approach known as general adversarial networks, or GANs. The approach draws on two networks, one known as a generative network and the other known as a discriminative network, and can be used to come up with unusual and creative outputs in the form of audio, video and text.

GAN systems have been used to generate “deepfake” fake media content.”

According to Goodfellow’s LinkedIn profile page, he left Google and joined Apple last month. And before enlisting with Google, he was working at OpenAI.

This is not Apple’s first major hire from Google. Back in April of last year, Apple brought on John Giannandrea, who was previously leading Google’s Search & AI efforts. And, most recently, Giannandrea was promoted to run the CoreML, Siri, and machine learning teams at Apple.

What, exactly, Goodfellow will be doing at Apple remains to be seen.
Our Take

This is another huge hire for Apple, and one that will more than likely have a huge impact on the company moving forward. Of course, what that means moving forward for consumer products remains to be seen. Either way, it’s a big win for Apple as far as new hires are concerned.

Apple ID Locked for Security Reasons, What to Do Now?

Apple, in a bid to create a safe user space, enhances security on their iPhones by suspending the account and locking out the device owners. If this happens to you, don’t panic. Here’s what to do.
Follow This Guide If Your Apple ID Locked for Security Reasons
If an iPhone gets stolen, for example, and the thief attempts to unlock it. Inputting wrong passwords too many times or fail the security question, Apple will lock the Apple ID associated with the stolen iPhone, as the multiple wrong passwords trigger Apple to mark this iPhone as compromised.
A scenario of this is if you are out to purchase a second-hand iPhone. After a good search, you find the iPhone, thankfully. Only one little problem - the Apple ID is locked. We’ll show you what to do here.

2. Recover It When Your Apple ID has been Disabled for Security Reasons

The process above removes any iPhone from any association with any Apple ID account. Your iPhone is now clear of any Apple ID account. You can then add another Apple ID account to the iPhone, open a new one, or recover the old one.

To recover your old Apple ID, you have to visit Apple’s password help and recovery site . Alternatively, you could just hit the “Tap to Unlock” button on the notification alert. The next step differs based on whether you have account security or not. Accounts are secured using either a two-step or two-factor verification.
If You Don’t Have Any Account Security

The only time it is advantageous to not have any account security for your account is when you're looking to recover your Apple ID. All you need to do to authenticate and retrieve your account is to input your existing password.

You may be asked some of your security questions, answer them and continue.
If You Have Two-factor Authentication

For added security, if you are trying to unlock your iPhone, and your iPhone has two-factor authentication, here is how to go about it.

Apple will either send to one of your trusted devices a message containing a login code. You can also opt to get this message on the primary device of the Apple ID account.

If You Have Two-step Verification

The two-factor verification is more secure than the two-step verification, and so, two-step verification has been stopped for newer iPhones. If your iPhone has two-step verification and Apple has sent you a 14-digit code when you set up the security, you have to input it with a code sent to a trusted device. Otherwise, you might not be able to login into your account.

What Causes Apple ID Locked for Security Reasons?

Your Apple ID is the email address and password that enable you to access Apple services, such as FaceTime, iMessage, Apple Music, App Store, iCloud, and much others. It contains other valuable information about you, like payment options, security details, etc., so the Apple ID is undoubtedly very personal.
Why Exactly Does Apple Lock Apple ID?

Imply put, Apple locks IDs that they think have been compromised. Various things can lead Apple to flag an ID as compromised; some more obvious examples are when a wrong password is inputted too many times. However, more things trigger the locking of Apple ID accounts. Some of these include:

Attempting to access iCloud data using multiple tools on the same account, over a short time.

Also, using third-party tools based on open source iCloud tools.

Note: Emails with the title “Your Apple ID Locked for Security Reasons” are not from Apple, they might be scams. They only lure you into inputting your Apple ID account login; if you fall for them, they will compromise your Apple ID account.

Apple users should never click on any link to sign in, in their emails. If you ever receive any warning email, visit https://appleid.apple.com/ and sign in from there. If there really is a problem with your account, you will be alerted there.
Tips on Keeping Your Account Secure

You can protect your Apple ID by the following recommended tips according to Apple:

Always use a strong password for your Apple ID.

Use difficult-to-guess answers in your security questions.

Use two-factor authentication.

Never use the same password for Apple ID and other websites.

Change your Apple ID password constantly and try not to reuse old passwords.
Conclusion

We assured you not to panic if Apple ID locked for security reasons; after reading this guide, you now know why. In the past, whenever it happened, most times, it meant that the iPhone became unusable. But thanks to LockWiper, you can now unlock your device and recover your iPhone ID account.

How to Transfer Notes from Apple Notes to Google Keep

Transfer Apple Notes to Google Keep Featured
Done with Apple Notes and looking for a way out? You can try Google’s excellent note-taking app, Google Keep. It’s now a robust notetaking service available everywhere from the web, Chrome, Android to iOS. Here’s how to transfer your notes from Apple Notes to Google Keep.
Apple Notes makes it extremely difficult to export notes. And Google hasn’t created an automatic importer. This means you’ll have to manually import notes from Apple Notes to Google Keep. One by one.

How to Transfer Apple Notes to Google Keep Using The App

The official way to do this is by using the Google Keep app. It’s a workaround, but basically, you use the share extension to transfer notes from Apple Notes to Google Keep.
Step 1: Open a note from the Notes app after installing the Google Keep app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap on the Share button. Here, swipe all the way to the end, tap on More and enable the Google Keep extension.

Step 3: Select the Google Keep extension. You’ll see a popup. Here you can choose which account to add the note to. And then tap on Post. The note will now be added to your Google Keep account.

Follow the same process for all the notes you want to transfer from Apple Notes to Google Notes.

How to Sync Apple Notes to Gmail

There’s a setting that lets you use Google as the syncing engine for notes in Apple Notes. This doesn’t mean all your notes show up in Google Keep automatically. They can merely be seen from Gmail app and you can then copy/paste to Google Keep manually.

There are a couple of caveats involved. Even after you enable Google as a source for Apple Notes app, it doesn’t actually start syncing all the notes from your iCloud account. It will only sync notes that are in the Gmail folder. To make matters worse, I couldn’t find a way to move notes from iCloud folder to Gmail folder.

So this is what the workflow would look like:
  1. Manually copy text from a note in the iCloud folder.
  2. Create a new note in the Gmail folder and paste the text.
  3. Open the Gmail app or Gmail website and find the Notes label.
  4. Open the note in the label.
  5. Manually paste the text in a Google Note on the web.
This route is also manual. The bright side is that you can do some batch processing. And you can paste the text in Google Keep using your computer, which makes things faster.
To set this system up, follow the instructions:
Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone and go to Accounts & Passwords.
Step 2: If you haven’t already, add your Gmail account.
Transfer Apple Notes to Google Keep 5
Step 3: Then select your Google account and turn on the Notes syncing feature.
Step 4: You can make the Gmail your default account. To do that open Notes section in Settings and tap on Default Account. Now select Gmail.
